PROPOSED RECOMMENDATION
To award a contract for Compliance and Maintenance Stage Lighting Inspection and Maintenance for North Yorkshire Council, following the completion of a procurement exercise to:

BACKGROUND TO SUPPORT THE RECOMMENDATION
A decision was made to undertake a procurement exercise to establish a new contract for the delivery of Stage Lighting Inspection and Maintenance, as the contracts established by the former County Council for this are due to expire on the 31st January 2026. The new contract includes provision to provide all relevant servicing and maintenance for additional Council properties as other contract arrangements expire, as well as provision for Property’s Traded Service Property Solutions clients.
The procurement was located and published on the Procurement Pipeline. With the
decision to procure made on the 19th May 2025, with the procurement being a key decision.
The contract awarded will be for a duration of two years with options to extend for a further two – two-year periods (resulting in a maximum contract period of six years).
LEGAL AND GOVERNANCE COMPLIANCE
The procurement exercise was undertaken by the Council’s Procurement and Contract Management Service May to October 2025.
The procurement was a key decision, which was located and published on the Procurement Pipeline.
RECOMMENDATION
That the contract award for the delivery of Stage Lighting Inspection and Maintenance be approved.
